The National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing & Care Industry (NIC) Conference in September was the largest in the event’s 21-year history, attracting some 1,800 attendees to the Marriott Warman Park in Washington.

The potential opportunity in the senior living market has seemed tantalizingly obvious for many years.
We all know about the “silver tsunami” – the 78 million aging baby boomers who, during the next two decades, will drive unprecedented demand for independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care facilities, as well as active adult communities and continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs).
