After trying for several years to add medical services at its busiest outpatient location, Detroit-based Henry Ford Health System (HFHS) has chosen a different strategy: expanding its offerings in a nearby office building that is being converted to a medical use.

The conversion is being performed by a joint venture of White Plains, N.Y-based Seavest Inc., an investor in and developer of healthcare facilities, and Troy, Mich.-based KIRCO, a construction and development firm.
