Inpatient Projects: Hospital set for College Station, Texas

SCOTT & WHITE BUYS LAND, PLANS $165 MILLION FACILITY THAT WOULD OPEN IN 2013

The land is secure, plans are finalized and now construction can begin on the future five-story, 320,000 square foot Scott & White Hospital College Station, Texas.

Temple, Texas-based Scott & White Healthcare recently acquired a 98-acre site on the north side of Texas Hwy. 6 at Rock Prairie Road in College Station, about 90 miles north of Houston, as the site of the future hospital.

With a completion date slated for mid-2013, the hospital is expected to cost about $165 million. It will house an emergency department, cardiac services including catheter labs, a neonatal intensive care unit, a comprehensive cancer center, operating rooms, maternity services suites, endoscopic procedure suites, inter-operative robotics and other services.
