TYLER, Texas – The Obama administration has endured plenty of backlash over the passage of healthcare reform, with numerous states filing lawsuits against the federal government in an effort to repeal the law. In addition,a whole slew of Republican congressional hopefuls ran on a platform of overturning the law. For the companies and professionals involved healthcare real estate, the passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act raises many questions about the effects of the law on their sector, such as whether the law will increase demand for outpatient projects, what types of services they will be asked to provide to hospitals and health systems in the future, and others. But one aspect of healthcare reform leaves no doubt about the outcome.
