DULLES, Va. – Even though the brand new, $186 million StoneSprings Hospital Center in Loudoun County, Va., has 124 beds and 234,000 square feet of space, officials with its parent organization, HCA Holdings, have plans to expand the campus.

Inpatient Projects: Growth, competition has Inova planning $275M project in Landsdowne, Va.

LANDSDOWNE, Va. – Strong population growth is prompting Falls Church, Va.-based Inova Health System to embark on a $275 million expansion of its hospital in Landsdowne, about an hour west of Washington, D.C.

The planned 120,000 square foot Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart is to be built alongside the current Sacred Heart Hospital, which has housed the children’s hospital since 1969. Ascension Health has committed $55 million to the project.
