News Release: Anchor Health Properties Arranges 26,000 Square Foot Suite Expansion and Renewed Lease for Major Tenant in Bothell, WA MOB

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

February 2, 2024

(Bothell, WA) Among the largest, non-health system owners and investors of healthcare real estate nationwide, Anchor Health Properties (Anchor), a national, full-service healthcare real estate development, management, and investment company focused exclusively on medical facilities, recently arranged a significant expansion and renewed lease with EvergreenHealth, a public hospital district serving nearly 850,000 people in north King and south Snohomish counties. The additional space and long-term lease signify renewed commitment from both organizations to the building and to continue providing high quality healthcare services to the surrounding community.

Growing to 26,000 square feet within the building, effectively doubling in size, EvergreenHealth will be the sole tenant on the first floor. Located within the three story, 83,000 square foot building at 1909 214th St SE in Bothell Washington, the hospital system uses this space as a primary care hub to complementary locations throughout the area. Offering a synergistic mix of services at this facility, including preventative care, orthopedic care, gynecologic care, newborn and pediatric care, and lab services, the dynamic tenancy ecosystem also enjoys cross-referrals within the building.

As part of a conversion from traditional office space to clinical medical for the expanded EvergreenHealth suite, Anchor’s integrated management and development teams also led space planning and programming efforts as it relates to medical equipment, and support space as well as workflow and the patient experience. Additionally, stack parking, a high-tech form of parking which uses hydraulic lifts, was installed at this location to increase the amount of parking available.

“We are thrilled to have EvergreenHealth expand their footprint and renew their long-term commitment to our Woodlands facility,” shared Andy Chen, Asset Manager with Anchor. “This is a testament to the unprecedented and growing demand for high quality medical office space in this market and we are looking forward to continue our support of EvergreenHealth’s mission and operations while providing a safe and healthy environment to staff and patients.”

Todd Battison, Senior Vice President & Shareholder with Kidder Matthews, echoed these sentiments, “Kidder Mathews is pleased to have worked with the professional team at Anchor Health Properties throughout this process. We are delighted EvergreenHealth realizes the immense value of their new and expanded, main entry lobby presence at Woodlands Medical Plaza as evidenced by their long term lease.”

Mr. Battison was joined by Keith Honsberger, and Gary Guenther from Kidder Mathews in representing Anchor throughout the transaction. CBRE represented EvergreenHealth.
