Ionis Pharmaceuticals Campus

CBRE U.S. Healthcare and Life Sciences Capital Markets has arranged acquisition financing for the Ionis Pharmaceuticals Campus (the “Campus”), located in Carlsbad, California.

Working on behalf of the buyer, Oxford Properties, Zack Holderman and James Millon, CBRE New York, secured acquisition financing for the $258MM purchase the state-of-the-art life sciences and corporate headquarters campus. The self-contained 18.4 acre Campus was originally developed for Ionis Pharmaceuticals (“Ionis”) and now consists of approximately 246,000 square feet of prime office, lab, and conference center space. The long-term sale-leaseback is 100% leased to Ionis Pharmaceuticals, a biotechnology company that specializes in discovering and developing RNA-targeted therapeutics.

The campus is one of the largest single-tenant life sciences campuses in San Diego County, the third-largest life science cluster in the nation. Our financing team worked with CBRE’s Matt Carlson, Hunter Rowe, Todd Tydlaska, and Anthony Hayes, who represented IONIS, the Seller, in the transaction.
