Firm led by Jason L. Signor made its latest purchase in Florida: two MOBs for $48 million

DALLAS – News of acquisitions of medical office buildings (MOBs), and now life sciences facilities, keeps coming from Dallas-based Big Sky Medical Real Estate, the healthcare real estate (HRE) investment management firm formed last year by well-known industry veteran Jason L. Signor.

What the firm is accomplishing during an era of ultra-competitiveness among investors in the HRE and life sciences real estate (LSRE) sectors is quite impressive. It has made acquisitions totaling about $319 million during the past six months and has another $543 million of purchases under contract and set to close in coming months, according to Mr. Signor. By the end of this summer, Big Sky’s portfolio of MOBs and life sciences facilities will likely top $1 billion.

Mr. Signor adds that the firm expects to make acquisitions of more than $1 billion in 2022 alone.
