CHICAGO—Friday, May 29, 2015 – MB Real Estate Healthcare Group is pleased to announce that Shannon Smith and Dalton Bogel have joined the firm’s Healthcare team as Portfolio Managers. Smith will be based in the Chicago office and oversee Midwestern properties. Bogel will oversee the firm’s West Coast properties from the Colorado office.
MBRE Healthcare, an operating division of MB Real Estate, Inc., is a full-service real estate company that develops, acquires, leases and manages healthcare real estate across the United States. As portfolio managers, Smith and Bogel will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, contract negotiation, capital projects and lease administration. They will also organize operating and capital budgets, conduct transaction due diligence, manage on-site staff and third-party contractors/vendors as well as oversee construction and capital projects.

Prior to joining MB Real Estate Healthcare, Smith was a property manager for Northwestern Memorial HealthCare where she contributed to the development of a one million square foot LEED Certified outpatient medical office building. She has also held property management positions with CBRE and Cushman & Wakefield. Smith is a graduate of DePaul University with a Bachelor of Marketing in Business. She is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Illinois and holds her RPA designation from BOMI International. Smith currently resides in Chicago and will work from the firm’s corporate headquarter office.
Bogel was previously a director of asset management for Focus Property Group, LLC in Denver, Colorado. In this role he was responsible for developing and implementing strategic business plans, budgets and project analysis. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and an active member of the Denver Commercial Association of Realtors, the Aurora Board of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors and the Colorado Association of Realtors. Bogel earned a Master of Real Estate and Construction Management degree from the University of Denver and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from the University of Texas in Austin, Texas. He currently resides in Cherry Hills Village, Colorado and will work from the firm’s Denver office.
