Regional healthcare real estate partnership seen as first step in national roll-out

San Antonio-based USAA Real Estate Co. and Brackett Flagship Properties LLC of Charlotte, N.C., have formed a healthcare real estate (HRE) joint venture (JV) focused on the Southeastern region of the United States.
For USAA, the partnership is the start of a bigger plan, as it intends to form four to six more regional partnerships by the end of next year, giving the institutional real estate investment firm a presence from coast to coast.
