Inpatient Projects: More Inpatient Project News

  • NortonHealthcare announced that despite inclement winter weather, renovations on Norton Suburban Hospital’s East Tower on Dutchman’s Lane in Louisville, Ky., are expected to be completed this summer. Louisville-based Norton is investing $51 million to add three stories on top of its current two-story ED. The health system also will spend about $38.7 million on other phases of the project, including larger rooms in the ICU and new operating rooms that will allow for pediatric surgery services. In total all renovations will add 100,000 square feet to the hospital. Architects on the project are Dallas-based HKS Inc. and Louisville-based Laughlin Millea Hillman Architecture LLC. Louisville-based Nehemiah Group is the construction manager, and Wehr Constructors Inc. of Louisville is the general contractor.
