…maybe you! Enter the new HREI INSIGHTS AWARDS

Dear Reader:

It’s about time.

That pretty much sums up how I feel about the new HREI Insights Awards™.

If you haven’t heard by now, Healthcare Real Estate Insights™ recently announced the creation of the HREI Insights Awards™, the only comprehensive national awards totally dedicated to recognizing excellence in the areas of healthcare real estate (HRE) development and executive leadership.

For more than a decade, we have been fortunate to work with many outstanding HRE executives and to feature their innovative, ground-breaking development projects in our magazine. But while there were awards recognizing design and other aspects of healthcare facilities, there was no comprehensive awards program focusing on the real estate stories and strategies behind successful projects. As the HRE sector and HREI™ have grown and prospered during the years, this lack of recognition has become more and more apparent.

That’s why this year, the 10th anniversary of the founding of our magazine, seems like a fitting time to finally introduce awards entirely dedicated to celebrating the best in HRE development and executive leadership. The award categories include:
• Medical Office Buildings (MOBs) and Other Outpatient Facilities – Best New Ground-Up Development (four awards in four different size ranges)
• MOBs and Other Outpatient Facilities – Best Renovated or Repurposed Building (one award)
• Hospitals and Other Inpatient Facilities – Best New Development (one award)
• Post-Acute and Senior Living Facilities – Best New Development (one award)
• Healthcare Executive of the Year (one award)
• Lifetime Achievement Award (three awards)

We’ll be excited to feature the winners and finalists in the January 2014 edition of HREI™ magazine, the 2014 HREI Resource Guide™ and on HREInsights.com, as well as in a public awards ceremony in December.

We look forward to making the HREI Insights  Awards™ an exciting, much-anticipated annual event that will continue to grow in size and stature during the coming years. We look forward to celebrating the best in the healthcare real estate sector, finally giving these individuals and development projects the industry-wide recognition they deserve.
