News Release: Caddis Partners welcomes Jud Jacobs as senior vice president

Jud Jacobs, Caddis Partners

DALLAS (April 10, 2013) – Dallas-based healthcare real estate development and investment firm Caddis Partners proudly announced this week the addition of Jud Jacobs as Senior Vice President. Jacobs will lead the development group and focus on establishing new and managing current relationships with hospitals, physician groups and healthcare systems across the U.S.

Prior to joining Caddis, Jacobs led Trammell Crow Company’s national healthcare development initiative and served as a strategic leader of healthcare project management for CBRE’s Healthcare Real Estate Services group. Jacobs has focused exclusively on healthcare real estate for the last 13 years of his 28-year career in commercial real estate.

“We’ve had a phenomenal last couple of years here at Caddis Partners,” said Jason Signor, CEO of Caddis Partners. “Being able to add someone as exceptional as Jud to our team further solidifies our position as a major healthcare developer not only in Texas but across the country.”

The addition of Jacobs as Senior Vice President comes after Caddis Partners’ recent announcements regarding its senior housing development projects in addition to expanding its pipeline with post-acute hospitals and medical office developments.

Over the last 18 months, Caddis has sold over $100 million of healthcare real estate assets, setting a new company record in 2012 and achieving recognition as having one of the largest healthcare portfolio sales in the nation that year. Caddis has also made several strategic acquisitions, further expanding its acquisition platform as well as its leasing and management footprint to encompass over 1.2 million square feet across 25 assets.

In March Caddis ranked as the 14th largest healthcare developer in the nation based on dollar volume by Modern Healthcare magazine, with over $50 million in completions. Caddis Partners also recently received regional recognition by ranking as the eighth largest commercial real estate developer in North Texas based on square feet across all property types by Dallas Business Journal.

“Caddis Partners’ remarkable success over the last few years certainly caught my attention,” Jacobs said. “Caddis has distinguished itself by being both smart and aggressive, but what makes Caddis unique is that their founders and board members include practicing physicians and health system executives. Caddis has leveraged their partners’ knowledge of the healthcare industry to deliver truly superior clinical environments for their tenants. I have admired and respected their work and feel fortunate to be part of this dynamic team.”

During his 13-year tenure at Trammell Crow Company and CBRE, Jacobs managed customer relationships with hospital systems and national healthcare providers. He also assisted hospital clients with strategic planning on major acquisition, development and campus improvement projects. For four years, Jacobs directed project management and development services for CBRE’s Baylor Health Care System account, overseeing over $250 million of clinical and medical office projects.

A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin’s Architecture program and a registered architect in the State of Texas, Jacobs began his career at HKS Architects in Dallas before receiving his Master of Science in Real Estate Development from MIT. Jacobs also served as a Project Manager for Hines in Houston and Dallas and was a real estate management consultant at Kenneth Leventhal & Company.

“Jud will build upon and expand Caddis’ development platform going forward leveraging his impressive experience and professional relationships,” Signor said. “We are truly happy to welcome Jud to our team and we are expecting a great 2013 and beyond.”
