COLUMBIA, Md. – Toledo, Ohio-based Health Care REIT Inc. (NYSE: HCN) recently aquired the Charter Professional Builing in Columbia. The real investment trust (REIT) paid $20.6 million for the three-story, 56,103 square foot building, about $367 PSF
Marketing the building for the seller, a partnership of physicians known as Aequus I LLC, was Colliers International-Baltimore. Columbia is in the southwest suburbs of Baltimore.
“The sale represents perhaps the highest price paid for any medical office building in the Baltimore area for many years, and the amount paid per square foot is among the highest of any medical office building in the entire region last year,” said Gary Applestein, managing director and principal for Colliers-Baltimore.
