Outpatient Projects: More Outpatient Projects

An affiliation between Suncoast Medical Clinic, which has five locations in and around St. Petersburg, Fla., and St. Anthony’s Hospital has risen to a higher level with the completion of a new outpatient center. That $22 million facility, which recently opened on the campus of St. Anthony’s in St. Petersburg, is the new main campus for Suncoast and provides space for 50 physicians offering 27 medical specialties. The building is also home to an urgent care clinic, outpatient lab, imaging, a retail pharmacy, and an optical shop. Dr. Mark Gordon, president of Suncoast, said in a statement: “Our move to the St. Anthony’s campus is the next step in our affiliation and will bring more healthcare choices and access to the St. Petersburg community.” William Ulbricht, president of St. Anthony’s Healthcare, added: “Our affiliation with Suncoast means that we can reduce fragmentation. Doing so results in improved quality and will help us address the changing face of healthcare.” Suncoast physicians have relocated to the new facility from their previous location in south St. Petersburg. The facility was designed by Clearwater, Fla.-based Mason Blau and Associates; it was built by the Orlando office of Barton Malow.
