Inpatient Projects: More Inpatient Project News

Dignity Health recently started construction on its future 24-bed, $44 million hospital in Glendale, Ariz. The new hospital, to be called St. Joseph’s Westgate Medical Center, is under way on a 35-acre tract near Loop 101 and Glendale Avenue, in the West Valley area of Greater Phoenix. The hospital is scheduled to open in early 2014 and is being built to accommodate future growth, as it will have the capacity to be expanded to 200 inpatient beds as demand grows. Initially, the facility will include an emergency room, two operating rooms, diagnostic services, and an ambulance bay. San Francisco-based Dignity currently operates three hospitals in Greater Phoenix: St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, and Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Medical Center in the East Valley.
