ROCHESTER, N.Y., HOSPITAL BUYS AND PLANS TO UPGRADE AMBULATORY CAMPUS

In a prime example of how health systems are shifting their focus toward delivering medical services in facilities away from the hospital setting, Rochester General Health System (RGHS) in Rochester, N.Y., recently announced plans for the creation of a large, multi-building outpatient campus.
But, instead of having the facilities developed, the system has acquired a number of medical buildings, allowing it to relocate services to the facilities, make some improvements and expansions, and open most of the campus by the end of 2013.
