EXECUTIVES DISCUSS REAL ESTATE’S CHANGING ROLE

Health system executives from the Carolinas region gave their perspectives on the future demand for real estate development at a recent conference in Charlotte, N.C. In what is becoming known as the era of healthcare reform, quite a bit is changing, and will continue to change, for hospitals and health systems as they go about their mission of delivering medical services to an ever-expanding pool of patients.

As most everyone involved in healthcare in some form or another realizes, efficiency without sacrificing quality will be the name of the game as providers navigate the changing regulatory tides of the next several years and the addition of more than 32 million newly insured patients.
