As the University of Minnesota continues construction on its future facility for Amplatz Children’s Hospital, the university’s Board of Regents has approved bonding for an even bigger medical project on the Minneapolis campus.

In recent weeks, the regents gave the green light to issuing up to $150 million in bonds for the building of the future $250 million, 405,000 square foot Academic Ambulatory Care Center (AACC).

The ambulatory facility is slated for a surface parking lot a few blocks from the main University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview hospital.
