72-ACRE PROJECT TO BE ANCHORED BY HOSPITAL, YMCA HEALTH/FITNESS CENTER

Officials with Hendricks Regional Health in Danville, Ind., had ideas for a healthcare village concept when they acquired about 80 acres of land in nearby Avon in recent years.
But what started out as a concept for an outpatient healthcare campus has morphed into plans for a full-fledged healthcare village, complete with, potentially, healthy restaurants, organic grocery stores, retail stores selling fitness gear, and others.
The project took off when Hendricks Regional, which has one hospital and three medical office buildings (MOBs) in the area, teamed with the Greater Indianapolis YMCA on plans for a large health and fitness complex where doctors offices will be intertwined with weight rooms,
