HOSPITAL NEAR I-35 IN NEW BRAUNFELS EXPECTED TO COST UP TO $115 MILLION

With its recent acquisition of 56 acres in New Braunfels, Texas, San Antonio-based Baptist Health System is starting to plan for a new full-service hospital on the site.
While Baptist officials have yet to release specific plans for the hospital, such as how many beds it would contain, they’re estimating a price tag of between $85 million and $115 million. System officials are in the process of accessing the current and future healthcare needs of New Braunfels in order to determine the appropriate bed count and possible scope of services. Officials hope to open the new hospital in 2012.
