THE ANSCHUTZ INPATIENT PAVILION IS PLANNED FOR UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO

The Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion would be added to the University of Colorado Denver’s Anschutz Medical Campus, in
the Denver suburb of Aurora, Colo. Cannon Design has been awarded the contract to design the $300 million project.

St. Louis-based Cannon Design recently landed a big healthcare project, the University of Colorado’s $300 million Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora, Colo.
Canon is designing a future 200-bed tower on the 227-acre Anschutz Medical Campus, which includes health education and research facilities, as well as the University of Colorado Hospital and the Children’s Hospital. Both of those hospitals relocated from central Denver to Aurora, which is located in the eastern suburbs of Denver.
In addition to the new beds, the pavilion would include an expanded emergency department, surgical services, imaging, cardiac and vascular services, as well as a new parking garage.
