Santa Barbara, Calif.-based Cottage Health System is quite tiny by industry standards. But that hasn’t stopped the three-hospital system from dominating its market, achieving a top bond rating and tackling nearly half a billion dollars in construction projects.
Currently, Cottage has development projects in various stages of planning at all three of its hospitals – the largest of which involves a more than $400 million replacement of its main Santa Barbara acute-care hospital.
