What happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas – at least when it comes to healthcare real estate development.

The word’s been out for years among health systems, developers and investors: Betting on Las Vegas is practically a sure thing. Out-of-towners have wagered millions on Las Vegas healthcare real estate – particularly since the population jackpot blew past the 1 million mark in the mid-1990s.

The odds seem favorable. There are now more than 1.7 million people living in the area – part of the growth curve
