When Classic Residence by Hyatt decided to take its continuing care retirement community (CCRC) model to a parcel of land on the Stanford University campus, the allure was not the academic and cultural environment. Nor was it the famous northern California climate

“This is real estate,” says Bob Hutchison, vice president of development for Chicago-based Classic Residence by Hyatt. “Location, location, location.”

The location to which he refers is one that his firm hopes will appeal to high-income seniors with the cash to afford a luxury retirement experience.
