West Gables benefits from the support of Marquis Health Consulting Services, and the administrative consulting services provider will be instrumental in the center’s next chapter. Marquis clients have access to an evolving suite of clinician-led specialty care models, signature services and comfort features – enabling innovation, compassion and purpose in every aspect of care.

“Simply put, we’ve outgrown our current home,” said Marquis Division President Michael Smith, RN, LNHA. “This new campus gives our extraordinary team the room to extend the same care we’reknown for to more families in the community. For a third-generation family business, that is exactly the kind of investment we want to make.”

State and local dignitaries, healthcare partners, and leadership from Marquis joined the West Gables team at the groundbreaking.

The five-story, approximately 180-bed rehabilitation and long-term care facility will feature all private rooms, dining on each floor, activity lounges, and an outdoor courtyard in a warm, homelike setting.

“Florida is aging fast, by 2030, more than one in four residents will be 65 or older, and long-term care already supports roughly $27 billion of our economy and 286,000 jobs,” said Emmett Reed, chief executive officer of the Florida Health Care Association. “Growing centers like West Gables means more care for the families who need it and more good jobs for the communities that host them.”

In 2025, West Gables became the first skilled nursing facility in Florida to earn the American Heart Association’s Stroke Rehabilitation Certification and is among the nation’s first AHA Heart Failure certified centers. It also offers advanced post-acute orthopedic, renal and pulmonary care. For more information, visit westgableshealthcare.com.
