News Release: Groundbreaking Planned for New Medical Office Building in Standish

MyMichigan Health will soon break ground on the new Cedar Ridge Building, a 20,000-square-foot medical office facility adjacent to MyMichigan Medical Center Standish, expanding access to health care services for residents throughout the region. Construction is scheduled to begin in July 2026, with completion anticipated in July 2027.

The new facility will provide a centralized location for several outpatient services, including the rural health clinic, specialty clinic, Senior Living Solutions, as well as physical therapy services. It will also provide convenient access to the geriatric psychiatry program. The building will be connected to the hospital, enhancing convenience for patients and improving coordination of care among providers.

“The Cedar Ridge Building represents an important investment in the future of health care for Standish and the surrounding communities,” said Mike Erickson, market president, MyMichigan Medical Centers in Alpena, Saginaw, Standish, Tawas and Towne Centre. “By bringing key outpatient services together in one modern, connected facility, we are creating a more convenient experience for patients while strengthening our ability to deliver coordinated, high-quality care close to home.”

A groundbreaking ceremony for the Cedar Ridge Building will be held on Tuesday, July 7, at 3:30 p.m., at 805 W. Cedar Street in Standish. Community leaders, MyMichigan representatives and project partners are expected to attend.

“The project reflects our commitment to the future of health care in Arenac County and the surrounding communities,” said Rose Goick Saddler, R.N., B.S., M.S.N., N.H.A., vice president and chief administrative officer, MyMichigan Medical Centers in Standish and Tawas. Once complete, the Cedar Ridge Building will provide modern clinical space designed to support patient care, collaboration among care teams and continued growth of our outpatient services.”
