(Peoria, IL – October 28, 2026) – Cullinan Properties, Ltd., headquartered in Peoria, Illinois and Construction Managers, Inc. (CMI) of Fremont, North Carolina are pleased to announce that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has awarded CMI Cullinan JV LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) joint venture between the two firms, to develop, own and lease to the VA a new Outpatient Clinic in Sarasota, Florida. The approximately 135,000 square foot clinic will be operated by the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System and will serve Veterans across Sarasota and Manatee counties and the surrounding Gulf Coast region. The project team includes architecture and design firm Leo A Daly; general contractor Hoar Construction; and civil engineer Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc.
The new two-story clinic will be located at 2390 Lakewood Ranch Boulevard in Sarasota and will offer Veterans a full range of services, including primary care, mental health, audiology, an eye clinic, dental, physical and occupational therapy, prosthetics, laboratory and pharmacy services, telehealth, and ancillary and diagnostic services. The expanded space will accommodate more Veterans, close space gaps at existing area clinics and improve access to care for the region’s growing Veteran population. Construction is expected to begin in Summer 2027, with completion scheduled for Summer 2029 and the first patients expected to be seen in Fall 2029.
