The Carilion Clinic will break ground on Tuesday, October 20 for a $35 million, 40,000 square foot addition that will be connected to the 25,000 square foot Carilion Clinic Family Medicine Center in Daleville, Virgina.
The 40,000 square foot addition will include a 15,113 square foot emergency department on the first floor. The fully staffed emergency department will
be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The first floor will also include 4,152 square feet of shelled space for future outpatient services.
A 12,663 square foot multi-specialty outpatient clinic on the second floor
of the 40,000 square foot addition will include general surgery, obstetrics
and genecology, orthopedics and cardiology. The second floor will also include 4,882 square feet of shelled space for future outpatient services.
Landmark will serve as the full-service developer and property manager of the addition, and Landmark and Carilion will co-own the addition. Landmark Healthcare Facilities LLC is a leading developer of the complete range of outpatient buildings. Landmark operates nationwide.
Based on current plans, the 40,000 square foot addition to the 25,000 square foot Carilion Clinic Family Medicine Center will be completed and placed in service
in the fourth quarter of 2027. The Carilion Clinic Family Medicine Center will remain in operation during the construction of the addition.
When the 40,000 square foot addition is completed, the expanded 65,000 square foot Carilion Clinic Family Medicine Center will provide a seamless connection
to Carilion’s board network of hospitals and specialists and will provide a wide range of high-quality healthcare services to the residents of Botetourt County
and surrounding communities.
