News Release: MorningStar Celebrates the Grand Opening of New Independent Living in Pasadena, California

PASADENA, CA (October 6, 2026) — Co-developers MorningStar Senior Living and The Ovation Group have completed a luxury independent living community as part of the campus of MorningStar of Pasadena in historic Pasadena, California. The property features 76 apartments designed to meet the evolving needs of today’s active seniors.

Located at 995 South Fair Oaks Avenue, this five-story modern development offers a resort-style residence with indoor and outdoor dining venues, pool and spa, fitness center and underground parking. Residents will enjoy a club room and rooftop terrace with views of the San Gabriel Mountains. The 89,382-square-foot community on the corner of Arlington and South Fair Oaks features two-bedroom floor plans as large as 1,240 square feet.

The independent living structure adjoins an existing assisted living and memory care at 951 South Fair Oaks of which MorningStar assumed management in 2020. KTGY designed a ground-floor transition allowing the two buildings to function as one cohesive campus. The project was executed by Snyder Langston as general contractor, with Aneka Interiors as interior designer.

In 2022 MorningStar and Ovation completed major renovation of the original building, adding a dedicated memory care. With these enhancements, the assisted living community now offers 146 apartments, giving residents a continuum of care within one campus.
