News Release: SkySong Welcomes Modern Wealth in Major New Lease as Leasing Momentum Continues

Financial services firm relocates from Mesa to 24,526-square-foot flagship office at SkySong 5; two other significant leases inked recently

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (September 10, 2026) — SkySong, The ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center, is continuing to attract significant new investment and expansion from growing companies, highlighted by Modern Wealth’s move to a 24,526-square-foot flagship office occupying the top floor of SkySong 5.
The move follows Modern Wealth’s acquisition of Mesa-based Public Safety Financial/Galloway, a landmark transaction that significantly expanded the company’s presence in Arizona and strengthened its position in the rapidly growing wealth management market. Founded by Mike Galloway, a Marine Corps veteran and former police lieutenant, Public Safety Financial/Galloway had built a $1.1 billion advisory business serving more than 3,000 clients, including police officers, firefighters, government employees and their families.
The acquisition, announced in September 2025, marked Modern Wealth’s entry into Arizona and created a new Public Safety Financial division focused on serving first responders and public-sector employees. It also established the Phoenix area as one of Modern Wealth’s Organic Growth Hubs, designed to provide a platform for recruiting, business development and national expansion.
Rather than simply relocating an existing operation, Modern Wealth’s move to SkySong represents a significant expansion of its Arizona presence following the Galloway transaction. The company, which was founded by former United Capital executives including President and Co-Founder Jason Gordo, has pursued an aggressive growth strategy and surpassed $10 billion in assets under management during 2025.
“We’re excited about what this next chapter represents for Modern Wealth in Arizona,” said Jason Gordo, president and co-founder of Modern Wealth. “The combination of the Galloway organization, our growing team and the opportunity to build an Organic Growth Hub in the Phoenix market creates an important platform for our continued expansion. SkySong gives us the kind of environment and presence we were looking for as we establish our flagship Arizona operation.”
The company’s new SkySong headquarters will occupy the entire sixth floor of SkySong 5, providing a prominent home for the expanded Arizona operation and creating room for continued growth.
For SkySong, the transaction represents another example of the campus’ ability to serve as a landing place for companies entering a new market while also providing the scale needed to accommodate significant expansion.
“Modern Wealth is a great example of the kind of growth story we want to see at SkySong,” said Sharon Harper, chairman and CEO of Plaza Companies, the master developer of SkySong. “This is much more than a company moving offices. They are bringing together a major Arizona business they acquired, establishing a new growth hub and making a significant commitment to the market. We are excited to be the home for that next chapter.”
Modern Wealth was represented in the transaction by Bryce Terveen of Colliers.
The newest leasing activity also includes Upward Architects, which signed a lease for 5,188 square feet in one of SkySong’s new speculative suites in SkySong 2 while the space was still under construction.
The transaction is particularly notable because Upward Architects itself designs workplaces and commercial environments, making the company’s selection of a SkySong spec suite a strong endorsement of the project’s design, location and functionality.
The company was represented by Matt Nebeker of Lee & Associates.

Flare, a legal technology company that develops software designed to help law firms and legal professionals manage services and client relationships, is also strengthening its commitment to SkySong with a 3,054-square-foot expansion in SkySong 5.
Headquartered in San Diego with offices in New York and Tel Aviv, Flare’s expansion adds to its existing presence at SkySong and reflects continued confidence in the campus as the company grows its operations.
Flare was represented by Shane Poppen and Jeffrey Jackson of Savills.
Together, the three transactions represent approximately 33,000 square feet of new growth and expansion at SkySong.
Harper said the activity is especially encouraging because it represents a combination of companies entering SkySong for the first time and existing tenants expanding their commitment.
“We are seeing both sides of the market right now,” Harper said. “Companies like Modern Wealth and Upward Architects are choosing SkySong because of what the campus offers, while existing tenants like Flare are expanding because they see the value of continuing to grow here. That combination is a very positive indicator for the project.”
The activity also follows a series of recent leasing transactions at SkySong, including new leases and expansions from companies across financial services, construction, commercial real estate and professional services.
