Sambursky Eye was sold by 530 Columbia Drive, LLC to an institutional healthcare real estate investment firm for an undisclosed purchase price.
Sambursky Eye is situated less than 1 mile from the satellite campus of Guthrie Lourdes Hospital and serves the vast majority of cities and towns within the Southern Tier and beyond. Sambursky Eye has been at the forefront of vision care in the Southern Tier of New York State for over 50 years. Dr. Daniel Sambursky, a third-generation ophthalmologist, is regarded as a pioneer in the field of Laser Vision Correction. Patients travel from as far as 75 miles away to be treated by Dr. Sambursky in this facility.
In December 2024, Sambursky Eye became part of SightMD. The SightMD family of companies provides state-of-the-art eyecare surgery and services to over 600,000 patients per year in 5 states in the Greater Northeast. Sambursky Eye represents SightMD’s expansion into Central New York.
The marketing process generated significant interest from institutional healthcare real estate investors and produced multiple competitive bids.
In connection with the sale, SightMD executed a new long-term lease.
