FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 9, 2025
(Peoria, Arizona) Committed to pursuing better healthcare through real estate solutions, Anchor Health Properties (Anchor), a national full-service healthcare real estate development, management, and investment company focused exclusively on medical outpatient buildings and specialty healthcare facilities, recently commenced construction on HonorHealth Complete Care – Lake Pleasant, a new 12,055 square foot stand-alone hybrid free standing emergency department and urgent care center. Designed to enhance patient experience and streamline healthcare delivery, the facility located at 25550 N. Lake Pleasant Parkway in Peoria, Arizona is strategically positioned within Lake Pleasant Towne Center, a newly developed retail center.
In collaboration with HonorHealth, a non-profit healthcare system serving the greater Phoenix area with nine acute-care hospitals, more than 200 primary and specialty care locations, a cancer care network, research institute, and community services, and Intuitive Health, the pioneer of the combined ER and urgent care model, this project represents a shared vision to provide high-quality, accessible healthcare in a thoughtfully designed environment. To bring this critical project to fruition, Anchor is providing comprehensive development services and real estate planning expertise
“Breaking ground on this state-of-the-art healthcare facility is a testament to our shared commitment to creating spaces that enhance patient care and support the community’s growing healthcare needs,” noted Sean Miller, Senior Vice President of Development with Anchor. “Through our collaboration with HonorHealth and Intuitive Health, we are bringing a new level of accessible, high-quality care to the greater Phoenix area. This facility will ensure patients get the right treatment exactly when they need it—delivering a seamless, convenient, and cost-effective healthcare experience for our community.”
Focused on improving the health and well-being of the community by providing patient-centric and easily accessible care in a customer-service led environment, HonorHealth Complete Care – Lake Pleasant will accommodate walk-ins through a 24/7 operating platform that is designed for speed of patient visits and efficient flow of provider care. The dual emergency and urgent care model, developed by Texas-based Intuitive Health in 2008, eliminates the need for patients to self-diagnose the severity of their health concerns before selecting the most appropriate medical center for care. This new patient-centered model is designed to simplify the way patients access immediate, appropriate care while also lowering out-of-pocket costs.
“We are thrilled to take another step forward in expanding our hybrid emergency and urgent care centers across the Phoenix area,” said Rick Murdock, vice president of strategic planning, network development and physician alignment with HonorHealth. “This model provides access to the right care at the right time, close to home. By eliminating the guess work behind picking the appropriate location to seek care, this hybrid model saved patients and insurers roughly $70 million at our two existing Complete Care locations in 2024, and we look forward to doing the same for this community.”
Echoing these sentiments, Mason Deal, Senior Vice President of Development with Intuitive Health, added, “We are proud to partner on this new facility, which will bring high-quality emergency and urgent care services to the community in a more convenient and accessible way. Our hybrid care model is designed to improve the patient experience by providing the right level of care in one location, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and compassionate treatment for every patient who walks through our doors.”
Programming within the facility will include an emergency department, urgent care, trauma room, CT, x-ray, triage, lab and pharmacy, and fast-track exam rooms serving lower acuity patients. An ambulance pick-up area will also be available for patients who need to be transferred to a larger inpatient facility.
Regionally based firms with extensive healthcare facility experience serving as part of the project team, including Devenney Group Architects, a leading architectural firm solely focused on healthcare environments and JE Dunn Construction, one of the top construction management firms nationwide. This is the third HonorHealth Complete Care facility this project team has worked on together.
The dynamic hybrid emergency department and urgent care center is slated for completion in early Q1 2026.
