Longtime leader Danny Prosky guided AHR through its most successful year yet

To say the past couple of years has been a busy time for Danny Prosky would be quite an understatement.

In fact, even though he and his wife, Zoe, love to travel internationally, there really hasn’t been all that much time to get away for extended periods – although a big trip to Australia with their three adult children might finally be in the works.

You see, 2024 was a particularly pivotal year for Mr. Prosky, president and CEO of Irvine, Calif.-based American Healthcare REIT, as it marked the successful culmination of the long and sometimes arduous process of going public for the longtime non-traded real estate investment trust (REIT).

Indeed, although AHR filed for an initial public offering (IPO) in September 2022, challenging financial market conditions slowed the process. Yet, AHR’s top executives and employees, led by Mr. Prosky, persevered, and the IPO process was successfully completed on Feb. 7, 2024, as AHR debuted on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). It was the largest-ever healthcare-related IPO, raising $772.8 million, and was the largest REIT IPO in six years.
