News Release: Colliers Welcomes CJ Kodani as Senior Vice President | U.S. Healthcare Capital Markets

Industry Veteran Brings Over a Decade of Healthcare Investment Advisory Expertise

WASHINGTON D.C. – February 4, 2025 – Colliers, a leading diversified professional services and investment management company, announces the appointment of CJ Kodani as Senior Vice President joining the firm’s U.S. Healthcare Capital Markets platform. With over a decade of experience in commercial real estate, Kodani specializes in healthcare investment advisory and joint venture equity placement for medical office buildings and hospitals nationwide.

Kodani joins Colliers from JLL Capital Markets, where he held multiple leadership roles, most recently serving as a Director. Over the course of his career, he has advised on significant healthcare real estate transactions across the U.S., providing strategic guidance to institutional investors, healthcare operators and developers. At Colliers, he will work closely with Jordan Selbiger, Executive Vice President of U.S. Healthcare Capital Markets.

“We are thrilled to welcome CJ to Colliers as we continue to expand our healthcare capital markets platform,” said David Amsterdam, President of U.S. Capital Markets at Colliers. “His extensive experience in healthcare investment advisory and joint venture equity transactions will be a tremendous asset to our clients.”

“Joining Colliers’ dynamic Healthcare Capital Markets group is a fantastic opportunity,” said Kodani. “The team’s dedication to healthcare real estate has cultivated a top-tier platform that empowers us to deliver exceptional results for clients. I’m thrilled to partner with Jordan Selbiger and to be part of such an intelligent and collaborative team,” said Kodani.

Recent Colliers data highlights the rapid evolution of the healthcare sector, driven by demographic shifts, technological advancements and changing healthcare delivery models.

Outpatient medical facilities are expanding into suburban and underserved markets, while adaptive reuse of vacant retail and office spaces is emerging as a strategic solution for healthcare facility shortages. At the same time, innovations in telehealth, AI-driven facility management and sustainability initiatives are reshaping how healthcare spaces are designed and operated.

With increasing demand for behavioral health services, consolidation in healthcare and a growing emphasis on patient-centric care, Colliers remains at the forefront of these industry shifts. Kodani’s expertise in healthcare investment advisory and joint venture equity placementwill play a key role in helping clients navigate this dynamic landscape and maximize opportunities in an evolving market.

Kodani is based in Denver, Colorado, where he will play a key role in strengthening Colliers’ presence in the healthcare real estate sector. He holds a Bachelor’s in Economics and Spanish from UCLA and a Master’s in Real Estate Finance and Investment from Cornell University.
