Saint Paul, MN — AEI Capital Corporation completed the acquisition of a healthcare property located in Chicago, IL. Chicago ranks among the top five metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs) in the United States, with a population of approximately 2.7 million people. The site is situated 14 miles south of downtown and serves a community of nearly 600,000 residents within a 5-mile radius.
The property encompasses 25,000 square feet, currently leased by an affiliate of Advocate Health, a not-for-profit healthcare organization that includes award-winning hospitals, standalone emergency departments, behavioral health services, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation services, and urgent care centers throughout the greater Chicago MSA
This 25,000-square-foot facility was repurposed by Advocate in 2015 to allow for critical, preventative services to be provided to their local patient base. The main floor is staffed by five full-time physicians who provide care for chronic conditions and primary care alongside a dedicated team of occupational and physical therapists in the rehabilitation area. The second floor is home to neurologists and behavioral health specialists. Advocate further demonstrated its commitment to the space by investing significant capital into the build-out of the second floor.
