News Release: Walz Kraft Acquires Medical Building Leased to Gastroenterology Institute in Lansing, MI.

Lansing, MI — December 4, 2024 – Chicago-based Walz Kraft Capital Partners today announced their acquisition of a 11,010 square foot, two-story medical clinical building situated on nearly two acres in East Lansing, Michigan. The building is fully occupied by Michigan Gastroenterology Institute (MGI), who was recently acquired by Pinnacle Gastroenterology Partners, a private equity backed 120-physician group network throughout the Midwest.

The property, located within a strong medical corridor of East Lansing, has operated as a gastroenterology clinic since it was constructed in 1998. It’s current tenant, MGI is affiliated with Michigan State University. Their synergistic tenants in the immediate area include Lansing Neurosurgery, Forefront Dermatology, Michigan Center for Regenerative Medicine, Compass Healthcare Cancer Center, Lansing Institute of Urology, Elan Dental Group, Lansing Ophthalmology Eyecare, Engstrom Family Dental, and others.

MGI’s services include Upper Endoscopy, Endoscopic Retrograde, Rectal Endoscopic Ultrasound, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy, Ostomy, Capsule Endoscopy, and Liver Biopsy. Their nearby surgery center performs Robotic Colon Surgery, Laparoscopic Colon Surgery, and Minimally Invasive Surgeries.

This property marks Walz Kraft’s first acquisition in Michigan and eighteenth in the United States.
