Sutter Medical Plaza is a 143,210 square foot comprehensive center for pediatric outpatient services located within walking distance of the world-renowned Sutter Medical Center Sacramento in Northern California. The two-story facility was completely stripped down, renovated and customized for Sutter Health’s needs in 2009 by Boulder Associates, one of the nation’s premier healthcare design and architecture firms. In addition to imaging and laboratory services, Sutter Health offers specialized pediatric practices that include its Pediatric Neurology Group, Pediatric Neuropsychology Group, Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine and Pediatric Physical Therapy. Sutter Health has continued to show its commitment to this location, exercising the first of three 5-year renewals in 2024 and historically spending in excess of $10 million to build, furnish and equip its space.
Sutter Medical Plaza is located in the heart of Sacramento’s Medical Triangle with Sutter Medical Center Sacramento (523 beds), Mercy General Hospital (419 beds) and UC Davis Medical Center (646 beds), which totals 1,588 beds within a one-mile radius. Sutter Medical Center Sacramento is the largest of Sutter Health’s 22 hospitals with 523 beds and accounts for one-fifth of Sacramento County’s inpatient discharges (California Healthcare Almanac 2021). Sutter Medical Center Sacramento is a Level II Trauma Center, Level III Neonatal ICU and a Level IV Pediatric ICU.
