Healthcare Real Estate Insights™ presents awards to the 2023 winners of the only comprehensive national program recognizing excellence in healthcare real estate
PASADENA, Calif., Feb. 28, 2024 – Healthcare Real Estate Insights™ magazine has announced the Winners of the 2023 HREI Insights Awards™, the only national awards dedicated to recognizing excellence in the areas of healthcare real estate (HRE) development and executive leadership.
The awards are presented by HREI, the first and only print and digital news platform entirely devoted to covering HRE development, financing and investment.
The 2023 awards were presented today in nine categories during the Revista Medical Real Estate Investment Forum in Pasadena.
“After more than a decade of presenting the HREI Insights Awards, we at HREI know better than to go into the process with any preconceived notions. That’s because, even in a ‘normal’ year (whatever that is), we always marvel at the creativity and tenacity of the professionals who have chosen healthcare real estate (HRE) as their career vocation,” HREI Publisher and Founder Murray W. Wolf said.
“But, of course, some years are more ‘normal’ than others. In the 11 years of the awards program, we’ve seen everything from booms to busts and from pandemics to… whatever the heck you would call 2023. With economic uncertainty and the worst capital market environment in more than a decade, we weren’t quite sure there would be much to celebrate.
“But we should have known better. As always, the endlessly resourceful, endlessly innovative professionals of the HRE world rose to the occasion. That’s what makes the HRE space so perpetually interesting and special, and that’s what we knew deserved to be recognized when we created the HREI Insights Awards in 2013. There were simply too many outstanding HRE leaders and projects for them to continue to go unrecognized.”
“We at HREI started this awards program in 2013 simply because we felt that it was high time that the creative and hardworking people of the HRE space were recognized,” HREI John B. Mugford explains. “But we did not anticipate that the HREI Insights Awards would become such a popular annual event. Every year, we are always excited to publicly celebrate the best and the brightest HRE has to offer.
