Transactions: Remedy-Kayne make $70.7M purchase in Chicago suburb

In one of just a handful or so of single-asset, medical office building (MOB) sales to top $70 million during the slow-transaction year of 2023, the long-standing joint venture (JV) partnership of Chicago-based Remedy Medical Properties and Boca Raton, Fla.-based Kayne Anderson Real Estate has acquired a key off-campus facility flying the flag of the esteemed Rush University Medical Center.

The facility is the 93,386 square foot Rush Oak Brook Medical Center, which contains a six-operating room outpatient ambulatory surgery center (ASC), is in the Chicago suburb of Oak Brook and is about 15 miles due west of the campus of Rush University Medical Center, which home to the system’s flagship, 14-story, 664-bed main hospital.
