Myrtle Beach, SC, April 19, 2023 — McLeod Health has opened their third building in the 43-acre expansion designed to provide services to meet the healthcare needs of residents within and around the Carolina Forest area. An Open House and Ribbon Cutting Celebration was held at the new McLeod Health Medical Office Building in Carolina Forest on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.
The McLeod Health Carolina Forest Campus is located at 115 McLeod Health Blvd., Myrtle Beach, SC, at the intersection of Highway 31 and International Drive.
With more than 120,000 patient visits to the McLeod Health Carolina Forest Campus in 2022, the need for continued expansion in medical services is essential. This new building will be home to a variety of medical specialists and expanded rehabilitation services to include physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.
“The McLeod Health Carolina Forest campus continues the vision of McLeod Health to improve the health of people in Horry County,” said Monica Vehige, CEO of McLeod Loris Seacoast. “Based on national statistics, Horry County has a significant shortage of primary care physicians and other specialists. McLeod looks forward to our campus filling this gap by providing primary care and specialty physicians together in a convenient location.”
Attendees of the open house had the opportunity to tour the new facility and meet the physicians of the practices located in the new building: McLeod Orthopaedics Seacoast, McLeod Loris Seacoast Surgery, McLeod OB/GYN Seacoast, McLeod Pulmonary and Critical Care Seacoast, McLeod Rheumatology Seacoast, McLeod Digestive Health Center Seacoast, and McLeod Adult Rehabilitation Services Clinic.
“The commitment McLeod has made to provide quality care in our community is evident,” said Ronald Fowler, Chairman of the McLeod Health Board of Trustees. “While these new buildings are important, it is the people who work in these buildings that make the difference in what we do. Our team is extraordinary, and I am so proud of the continued growth of McLeod Health.”

This facility is the third phase of the Carolina Forest project. Building One is home to the McLeod Health Carolina Forest Emergency Department, Primary Care and Urology. Building Two is home to primary care, pediatric rehabilitation, cardiology, and vascular surgery.
