News Release: Davis to begin developing 35,000-square-foot Eagan Specialty Center in Eagan, Minn.

Located in a highly visible, accessible location off Highway 55, this will be the first multi-tenant medical office building developed in Eagan in the past decade

The new 35,000-square-foot Eagan Specialty Center in Eagan, Minn., will be anchored by Midwest Surgery Center, which is owned by Midwest ENT and St. Paul Eye. The new multi-specialty medical office building (MOB) is expected to be completed by December 2023.

MINNEAPOLIS and EAGAN, Minn., Nov. 30, 2022 – Minneapolis-based developer Davis announced that it will soon begin construction on a 35,000-square-foot multispecialty clinic and ambulatory surgery center (ASC) in Eagan.

The Class A medical office building (MOB) and ASC, to be located at Lone Oak Road and Highway 55, will be anchored by Midwest Surgery Center, which has signed a lease for 27,000 square feet in the building.

The new MOB and ASC will represent an important milestone for Eagan, according to Mark Davis, Founder and Principal of the national healthcare real estate development, investment, brokerage and property management firm.

“This will be the first multi-tenant medical facility built in Eagan in a very long-time,” says Mr. Davis. “We’re pleased that the facility has already attracted a stellar anchor tenant, the experienced, well respected Midwest Surgery Center.”

He adds, “This is an excellent southeastern Twin Cities location with great visibility and access to Highway 55. In addition, it’s close to major businesses, retail establishments and residential areas, including the now-under-construction, 500-plus unit Vikings Lakes residential community.”

This will be Midwest Surgery’s second ASC in the east metro area, with the first one located in Woodbury. Midwest Surgery is a partnership between Midwest ENT and St. Paul Eye.

Tony Benusa, CEO of Midwest ENT, notes, “This new location will allow us to grow, expand our healthcare services and provide greater access to local residents.”

David Rothschiller, CEO of St. Paul Eye, says, “Midwest Surgery Center’s expansion in Eagan builds on St Paul Eye Clinic’s and Midwest ENT’s ongoing commitment to provide our patients with convenient access to comprehensive surgical services. From our humble beginnings in St Paul almost 40 years ago to today, we expect to continue providing great, patient-centered care for many years to come!”

Eagan Specialty Center is expected to be completed and open to patients in December 2023. The architect for the project is Synergy Architectural Studio, which is headquartered in Minneapolis, and the general contractor is Plymouth, Minn.-based Timco Construction Inc.

A limited amount of space is still available for lease in Eagan Specialty Center. Interested healthcare providers should contact Jill K. Rasmussen, 612-341-3247 or jrasmussen@davishre.com or Nick Holien, 612-454-4167 or nholien@davishre.com.
