Silver Cross Hospital and Premier Suburban Medical Group (PSMG) broke ground yesterday on a future 42,000-square-foot medical building at the northeast corner of 171st Street and LaGrange Road in Orland Park.

Expected to open in early 2024, the new facility will take the partnership between Silver Cross and PSMG to a whole new level…two levels, in fact.

The future two-story facility will include primary care and specialty care physician offices, comprehensive imaging services, an 18-station infusion center, an endoscopy suite with two procedure rooms and after-hours care.

“At Silver Cross we’re always advancing and finding ways to better serve our communities,” said Ruth Colby, Silver Cross Hospital President and Chief Executive Officer. “And this future location is a wonderful example of that. We’re proud to partner with PSMG to bring needed healthcare services and physician offices to the residents of Orland Park and surrounding areas.”

“Silver Cross and PSMG are well-known for the exceptional healthcare they provide,” Orland Park Mayor Keith Pekau said. “We welcome them to our community.”

When completed, the building will house primary care and specialty offices, comprehensive imaging services, an 18-station infusion center, an endoscopy suite and after-hours care.

The future facility will be adjacent to the new Orland Ridge Towns and Villas, “so this will be a perfect location to serve those residents – and all residents of Orland Park,” he added.

About Premier Suburban Medical Group

In 2020, Silver Cross Hospital formed a partnership with several former Pronger Smith Medical Care physicians, who have a long history of serving patients in the Orland Park area. PSMG is currently staffed by more than three dozen primary care and specialty care physicians and advanced practice providers exclusively affiliated with Silver Cross.

“Our doctors have been a trusted part of suburban Chicago families for decades, caring for children, young adults, parents and grandparents,” said Dr. Refat Baridi, hematologist/oncologist and PSMG cofounder.

Premier Suburban Medical Group features doctors specializing in family and internal medicine, pediatrics, cardiology, endocrinology, orthopedics, oncology, obstetrics and gynecology, surgery and more.

“This future facility will ensure that Orland Park-area residents can continue to receive exceptional care from their trusted providers…close to home,” Colby added.
