Houston, TX (July 7, 2022) — Hicks Ventures, a Houston-based, privately held development company, has broken ground on its 42-bed, 53,000 square-foot, two-story Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility in Wausau, Wisconsin. In addition to first class rehabilitation services, the facility will also include an inpatient dialysis suite.
The $28 million development will be the first project in the $100 million programmatic joint venture between Hicks Ventures and an institutional real estate investment manager formed in January to develop national Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities (IRFs) and Behavioral Health Hospitals (BHHs).
“Our Wisconsin rehabilitation facility will feature state-of-the-art technical capabilities and is being thoughtfully designed to balance a modern medical facility atmosphere and a healing environment,” said Patrick Hicks, Founder and CEO, Hicks Ventures.
The project team for the facility includes Environments for Health Architecture, Wisconsin-based general contractor, Hunzinger Co. and the facility operator and tenant is PAM Health, the national healthcare operator known for their high-quality patient care and outstanding customer service for post-acute services. Construction financing is being provided by First Horizon Bank.
PAM Rehabilitation Hospital of Wausau is anticipated for completion in September 2023.
