The 100,500-square-foot, 100 percent leased medical complex, expected to be completed in fall 2023, will expand healthcare options for southern Minnesota residents

The 100,500-square-foot Lakeville Specialty Center in Lakeville, Minn., is already 100 percent pre-leased.

 

MINNEAPOLIS and LAKEVILLE, Minn., June 29, 2022 – Minneapolis-based developer Davis, MNGI Digestive Health and Allina Health, one of the largest health systems in Minnesota with 11 hospitals and over 90 clinics, recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for Lakeville Specialty Center, a 100,500-square-foot multispecialty clinic and surgery center in Lakeville, Minn.

The Class A medical facility, to be located at 18465 185th St., is 100 percent leased with Allina signing a lease for 60,000 square feet in the specialty center and 18,500 square feet in the surgery center. The clinic will offer 20 Allina specialties, including orthopedics, oncology, women’s health and cardiology.

In addition, MNGI Digestive Health has signed a lease for 22,000 square feet in the facility to house a new clinic and endoscopy center.

“We’re very pleased to begin developing the new Lakeville Specialty Center for Allina and MNGI,” said Mark Davis, Founder and Principal of the national healthcare real estate development, investment, brokerage and property management firm. “This new facility will help Allina expand its services to residents in southern Minnesota communities along the I-35 corridor and help MNGI provide even more options for its patients.”

Officials from Allina Health, MNGI Digestive Health and Davis, along will local officials, held a groundbreaking ceremony June 22.

He continued, “Making complex specialty care more accessible to those living in the south metro and providing a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center support Allina Health’s Population Health initiatives and our overall strategy to ensure patients have a seamlessly connected care journey as they transition between our clinics, virtual care, and increasingly, at-home care options.”

MNGI Digestive Health’s President and CEO Dr. Scott Ketover said, “This groundbreaking in Lakeville marks an exciting moment in MNGI’s efforts to provide the highest quality digestive care, in a more convenient location, for the growing community of patients in the South metro area and beyond. Our space in this building will be fully designed for the comfort and experience of our patients and operational needs, and will feature innovative, state-of-the-art technology and equipment to provide the best possible care. We’re also excited about the expanded relationship with MNGI’s healthcare partners.”

He added, “MNGI’s Lakeville location will offer a wide range of gastroenterology and digestive health services, including outpatient procedures, infusion therapy, and comprehensive GI care with behavioral and dietary health support.”

Lakeville Specialty Center is expected to be completed and open to patients in fall 2023. The architect for the project is Minneapolis-based Synergy Architectural Studio, and the general contractor is Plymouth, Minn.-based Timco Construction Inc.
