News Release: Walz Capital Expands Georgia Footprint to 76,593 SF with Acquisition of Three Property Medical Office Portfolio

ATLANTA, Ga., June 16, 2022 – Chicago-based Walz Capital announced today their acquisition of a three property, 13,985 square foot medical office building portfolio in the Atlanta metroplex. This acquisition brings their presence in the state of Georgia to 6 properties, totaling 76,593 square feet. Two of the three properties in the portfolio, which are located in Lawrenceville and Carrollton, GA, are leased to Summit Spine & Joint, while the third property, also in Lawrenceville, is leased to Haywood Vision & Eye.

“We have had continued success throughout the Atlanta metroplex and are eager to embark on new opportunities in the area,” said Collin Kraft, Walz Capital’s Vice President. “Overall, the Georgia market has experienced considerable growth over the last several years, and we look forward to building more relationships with other physician groups and operators alike.

Summit Spine & Joint is leasing two of the portfolio’s properties totaling 9,500 square feet. Building I, located in Lawrenceville, currently operates as the practice’s headquarters and Building II, located in Carrollton, operates as one of their ambulatory surgical centers. Summit Spine & Joint Centers is a 23-location private practice which treats a variety of acute and chronic pain conditions of the neck, back and joints. Summit Spine & Joint’s practice was founded in 2013, has 150 employees, sees 6,000 patients a year, and performs more than 16,000 procedures annually.

Building III is a 4,485 square foot optometry and ophthalmology center in Lawrenceville and is leased by Haywood Eye & Vision Care. The building is strategically situated adjacent to Northside Gwinnett Hospital. Haywood Eye & Vision Care is an optometry and ophthalmology care center that has operated out of the Atlanta metroplex for over 25 years. Services include comprehensive eye exams, contact lens exams, no stitch cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment, diabetic exams and treatment, diagnosis and treatment of eye disease and injury. Haywood Eye & Vision Care also hosts an on-site optical shop.
