Tressa Shiplett, MedProperties’ new Senior Director of Asset Management, has 20 years of healthcare real estate experience.
DALLAS, Oct. 20, 2021 – MedProperties Realty Advisors LLC has hired veteran healthcare real estate (HRE) professional Tressa Shiplett as Senior Director of Asset Management.
“Tressa is a highly accomplished healthcare real estate professional with an excellent industry reputation,” says Managing Principal Darryl Freling of the Dallas-based HRE private equity firm. “We know she will make invaluable contributions to MedProperties and our investors, and we are excited to welcome her to our team.”
In her new role, Ms. Shiplett will be responsible for asset management of the firm’s HRE properties. This includes creating short- and long-term goals for value creation, overseeing joint venture and direct investments, overseeing third-party property management and leasing, and developing annual budgets and business plans.
Before joining MedProperties, Ms. Shiplett served as Vice President Senior Director of Real Estate at the Denver office of Healthcare Realty. In this position, she provided strategic guidance, leadership and financial oversight for more than 5 million square feet of medical properties in 12 states. She also has worked as Midwest Regional Director at the St. Louis office of Welltower Inc. and Director of Commercial Real Estate at Sansone Groups, which is headquartered in St. Louis.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Historical Studies and Communications from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Ill., and a Master of Accounting and Master of Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis.
