News Release: Mason Taylor, Chris Cassata and Karoline Eigel Join Cushman & Wakefield in Chicago to Lead Agency Leasing

Engel to Focus on Growing Chicago Healthcare Advisory Practice

CHICAGO, October 20, 2021 – Cushman & Wakefield announced today that Mason Taylor, Chris Cassata and Karoline Eigel have joined the firm to lead its Chicago Agency Leasing efforts. Taylor joins as Executive Managing Director; Cassata joins as Managing Director; and Eigel joins as Director and leader of the firm’s Chicago Healthcare Advisory Practice.

Taylor, Cassata and Eigel will lead client engagement and business development for Cushman & Wakefield’s Agency Leasing team. Each bring a lengthy, formidable track record of representing leading developers, institutional owners and healthcare clients across Chicago in anchor-tenant leasing transactions.

Taylor and Cassata will focus on building the firm’s office agency leasing business in the Chicago CBD, while Eigel will grow the Healthcare Advisory Practice and provide strategic advisory and brokerage services to physician practice groups, hospital systems, investors in healthcare real estate, insurance providers, pharmaceutical and biotech companies both regionally and nationally.

Taylor, Cassata and Eigel joining Cushman & Wakefield follows the addition of Steve Milenkov, who recently joined the firm to lead Asset Services in Chicago.

Taylor and Cassata join Cushman & Wakefield from JLL, while Eigel joins the firm from MBRE.

Taylor brings 17 years of commercial real estate and Chicago agency leasing experience, beginning his career at JLL focusing on corporate finance and property management, advising and representing Chicago developers and institutional owners. He is a graduate of Milliken University and earned an MBA from DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business, as well as the LEED AP designation.

Cassata joins Cushman & Wakefield with more than 20 years of industry experience. His work includes representing Chicago’s leading developers in landmark transactions with leading tech firms in emerging submarkets. He is a graduate of the University of Iowa.

Eigel has more than 20 years of real estate leasing, sales and marketing experience. Most recently, she’s focused on expanding the life sciences footprint within Chicago and some of the most consequential healthcare development and redevelopment projects in the region. She is a licensed managing broker in the State of Illinois and a member of the Illinois Association of Realtors, COLBA and CREW Chicago. Additionally, she serves on the board of the HEAR Foundation.
