News Release: Caddis hires experienced HRE leader M. Christian Cullum as V.P., Capital Markets

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

In his new position, he will lead the capital markets team and be responsible for sourcing, underwriting and managing debt financing for the firm’s entire portfolio

M. Christian Cullum brings more than 10 years of experience in the healthcare real estate sector to his new position at Caddis.

DALLAS, Aug. 11, 2021 – Caddis® has hired M. Christian Cullum, an experienced healthcare real estate (HRE) professional, to serve as Vice President, Capital Markets.

“We hired Christian Cullum to strengthen and expand our relationships with lenders and our growing base of equity investors throughout the country,” says Lance M. Hardenburg, Managing Partner and CEO of the Dallas-based national HRE firm.

He added, “In his new role, Christian is leading our capital markets team and is primarily responsible for sourcing, underwriting and managing debt for our entire portfolio. He also oversees our communications with institutional and individual equity investors. We are very pleased to have someone with Christian’s stellar background join our firm.”

For his part, Christian says, “I’ve known and respected the firm for a number of years. What attracted me to Caddis specifically is its strong history and solid reputation in the industry, its size – large enough to be well resourced and able to scale, but small enough to still be nimble and entrepreneurial – and its people.”

He adds, “Caddis has built a great team, at all levels of the organization, and I believe it’s well positioned to be able to grow the platform and ultimately investor returns.”

Christian has more than 10 years of experience with healthcare real estate, with a focus on underwriting and financial analysis for acquisition and development transactions and portfolio assets.

Before joining Caddis, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Cobalt Medical Partners, where he was involved in all aspects of real estate development and operations of their physical rehabilitation hospitals and senior living platforms. He also previously worked as Vice President & Director of Underwriting at EDGE Realty Partners, where he led the financial underwriting of all real estate assets for the capital markets team, worked on new business development and managed the firm’s clients and investors.

Before working at HRE companies, Christian worked for seven years in the political and national security arenas in Washington, D.C.

He received a Bachelor of Science degree in international politics from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and a Master of Business Administration in finance and real estate from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.

Outside of work, Christian loves spending time with his wife, Becky, and their two children, and he enjoys movies, good restaurants, college sports and spending time outdoors, especially in the mountains of Colorado. Christian notes that he’s also “a bit of a car nut”, and he is happy to talk Chevy vs Ford, Jeep vs Land Rover, or Ferrari vs McLaren with anyone.
