New Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Located in Illinois
Birmingham, Ala. – The Sanders Trust, one of the nation’s leading healthcare real estate investment and development companies, is pleased to announce the construction completion of Anderson Rehabilitation Institute, an inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Edwardsville, Illinois.
The Sanders Trust was selected as the developer for the 34-bed, 50,000 square foot rehabilitation hospital. Kindred Healthcare and Anderson Healthcare have entered into a joint venture for the brand-new hospital in Edwardsville, with Kindred Healthcare managing the day-to-day operations.
The Anderson Rehabilitation Institute is dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced a loss of function due to an injury or illness. The new facility is located on Anderson Healthcare Drive. The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place Monday, July 26, and the facility will begin operations at the location on August 1.

This new location will feature all private rooms, a secured brain injury unit with private dining and therapy gym, along with a number of other amenities. The rehabilitation hospital will also feature a transitional living apartment simulating a residential apartment that will prepare patients for daily living tasks once they are discharged.
The Sanders Trust worked with architectural firm Earl Swensson Associates out of Nashville, and Korte Construction, headquartered in St. Louis, provided Construction Management Services.
